Google can now detect unnatural web content that focuses solely on keywords. If your content starts disturbing google, as a web page trying to fool the system, they won’t be too happy.

This could lead to your website being banned or panelized.

In order to rank higher in the Google search engine result page, you have got to make it easier for Google to decipher what your web page is about. That’s where metadata lends a hand.

When designing your webpage, each page contains a space between the <head> tags to insert the metadata or the content summary of your page.

So in making sure you add metadata and or improve the already existing metadata is a guaranteed way to optimize search results for your site page.

Title

You can optimize by adding high-quality linkbacks from other reputable websites. This is a great way to drive traffic onto your site. The only way to do this is via having trustworthy and reliable content other websites can trust to link back to you.

Google will analyze reputable websites that link back to your site for valuable content and automatically assume you’re worthy too.

  • Follow Link (no rel= nofollow attributes)

  • Good keyword
  • Be on a relevant/related site
  • On an indexed page
  • Within a trusted site

Most websites offer free SSL certificates and it only takes a few clicks. So why not take a few minutes to make your site better.

The risk of not securing your site might seem like a minor detail. Although keep in mind some browsers like chrome will tell users they are on an insecure site.
